Frederic Schumann

Bio//

Frédéric Schumann is a film composer, arranger and poly-instrumentalist (saxophone, piano, guitar, bass, drums).

He entered the National Conservatory of Metz at the age of 5 where he learned the violin and then the saxophone. After obtaining a certificate of completion in saxophone and music theory, he left to continue his studies at the Strasbourg Conservatory, to train in jazz, harmony and orchestration.

After having validated his 4th Cycle, he went to Paris and very quickly set up his jazz quartet, with which he performed for several years.

At the same time, he composes and arranges songs for himself and for others.

In 2004, he met director Michel Lefevre who asked him to compose original music for his animated film Plan B. It was his first experience of music on screen and it will be decisive for him.

Thereafter, he will devote himself almost exclusively to music for the image, with many compositions for TV ads, TV movies or TV documentaries.
